Mrs. Beulah Anne Mudd Edwards of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ras. T. Mudd and Nancy Stewart Shuman, was born on December 25, 1938 in Louisville, Kentucky. She departed this life on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at her residence having attained the age of 84 years, ten months and 28 days.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member and Elder of Greensburg Presbyterian Church.
Anne served as a deputy in the Green County P.V.A. office during the terms of her husband, and was later elected P.V.A. for two terms. She was a former member of the Adanta Regional Mental Health Board, helped with drug prevention programs and Relay for Life in Green County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. “Bill” Edwards, on August, 26, 2014, having united in marriage on November 29, 1957.
Survivors include two daughters, two sons and their spouses: Beverly and Dave Shuffett of Greensburg, Bill and Ann Edwards of Campbellsville, John and Robyn Edwards of Buffalo and Mary Beth and Joel Mobley of Oxford, Mississippi; eight grandchildren: Laura Edwards, Rebecca and Matthew Wright, Austin Reliford, Matthew and Courtney Edwards, Logan Edwards, Max Mobley, Alex Mobley and Lashonda Darnell; four great-grandchildren: Weston Wright, Carter Wright, Lyla Martin and Collins Edwards; six sisters and two brothers-in-law: Pam and Don Taylor, Debbie and Duane Polston, Mary Shuman Spalding, Sharon Akemon, Brenda Shuman and Frances Shuman Craig; one brother: Blair Shuman; and one daughter-in-law: Vicki Edwards; plus a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son: Robert Edwards; her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Maxine and Woodrow Edwards; and one brother: Terell Ingram.
The funeral services for Mrs. Anne Edwards will be conducted at 11 A.M., Central Time, on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Greensburg Presbyterian Church under the direction of the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home. Bro. Joe Milby officiating. Burial will follow in the Green County Memory Gardens.
Visitation is requested from 3 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, on Friday at Greensburg Presbyterian Church and after 7 A.M. Saturday until the time of the service at the church.
Expressions of sympathy are requested to be made in the form of donations to Greensburg Presbyterian Church, which can be made at Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home or by mailing them directly to Greensburg Presbyterian Church at PO Box 275, Greensburg, KY 42743.
