Louella Ronald Chaney was born June 30, 1927, in Green County, Kentucky to the late Richard and Talmadge Sherrill Mitchell. She departed this life Sunday, February 12, 2023, at her home in Green County, having attained the age of ninety-five years, seven months and thirteen days.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was the oldest member of the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Greensburg, serving as Elder of the church. She was a member of the Green County Homemakers for 60 plus years, serving as County President for 2 terms, Club President for 8 years, and Lake Cumberland Area President.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Ronald in 1990 having united in marriage in 1944; and husband Calvin Chaney in 2005, having united in marriage 2001, one brother, Shively Mitchell; two sisters, Georgia Paxton and Hortense McMahan.
She is survived by two daughters: Patricia Davenport and husband Michael D. of Louisville; Jeannie Squires of Greensburg; five grandchildren: Ronald Dean Davenport and wife Julia of McKenney, Texas, Mitchell Wayne Squires and wife Jennifer of Greensburg, KY, DeAnna Vonnahme and husband Rich of Murray, KY, Lisa Stogner of Crestwood, KY, Jene-Michelle McCubbins and husband Jamie of Summersville; eleven great grandchildren: Kate Scott and husband Cody, Payton Squires and wife Katelyn, Lilly Squires, Hunter McCubbins and wife Alise, Kayla McCubbins, Bryar McCubbins, Samantha Stogner, Hannah Stogner, Ashley Vonnahme, Allison Vonnahme, Ryan Stogner; three Great Great Grandchildren: Preston Klein Atwood, Pierce Kole Scott, Palmer Kate Scott; one nephew: Mike Mitchell and wife Doris of Flatwoods, KY
Funeral services for Louella Ronald Chaney will be conducted Friday, February 17, 2023, at 2 pm Central Time at Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Bro. Brenson Bishop, Bro. Kevin Brantley, and Bro. Freddie Norris officiating. Entombment will follow in the Greensburg Mausoleum.
Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 2023, 10 am Central time until the funeral hour at the church.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to Kosair Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. These can be made at the funeral home.
