Mr. Paul M. “Hadacall” Mitchell was born January 9, 1929 in Green County, Kentucky to the late Leonard Mitchell and Eliza Cowherd. He departed this life Monday, April 20, 2020 at the Green Hill Nursing and Rehab, having attained the age of nintey-one years, three months and one day.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Second Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon, Layman on the Homecoming Committee, member on the Trustee Board, Sunday School Superintendent, Brotherhood Choir and Adult Choir He was a truck driver. He was united in marriage to Margie (Tootie) Thornton Mitchell who preceded him in death November 23, 2007. Besides his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by two great-grandchildren: Bre’don Ford and Damontay Majors Jr. and a sister Lyda Barnett.
He is survived by three sons: Billy Gene Mitchell of Greensburg, Paul Allen Mitchell (Joanie), and Anthony “Boo” Mitchell of Campbellsville. Two daughters: Deborah Cowherd of Greensburg and Shelia Owens (Jamie) of Campbellsville. 21 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and one sister; Margaret Johnson and her husband John of Louisville, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
The family has chosen drive by viewing for Paul M. “Hadacall” Mitchell to be conducted on Thursday, April 23, 2020 on the front porch of the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home between the hours of 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Central Time, PLEASE, EVERYONE MUST REMAIN IN THEIR VEHICLES AT ALL TIMES WHILE PASSING AND PAYING THEIR RESPECTS. ALL VEHCILES MUST ALSO PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING AND MAINTAIN A MINIMUM DISTANCE OF SIX FEET APART.
Due to COVID-19 Pandemic and executive order by Kentucky Governor Beshear, the services for Mr. Paul M. “Hadacall” Mitchell will be conducted Friday privately at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial in the Green County Memory Gardens in Summersville.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America in memory of Bre’don Ford or the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.
